Home Assistant is an open-source platform for smart homes. It enables automation and control of various devices and services in your home. Home Assistant is highly flexible and supports a wide range of devices and protocols. The platform connects to various smart devices such as thermostats, lights, switches, cameras, and sensors. It can also be integrated with services like Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, and IFTTT.

Home Assistant is already installed on the computer but not configured. All you need to do is connect a LAN cable and boot up the computer. If you can use a monitor, you'll see the IP address of Home Assistant after booting. You can access the console via the IP address and configure Home Assistant. If you don't have a monitor, you can find the address assigned to Home Assistant in your router settings. In that case, open your web browser and go to http://homeassistant.local:8123 or http://your_ip:8123 to begin configuration. There, you can also enable WLAN in case you want to operate the computer in a wireless network.
